This workshop series will spend the first half of the time we have together building and playing in different practices, prompts, constraints & containers. We will get to know our intuitions, we will get to know each other, we will tune in to the deeper messages of our own unique creativity to LISTEN to what is wanting to come through right now—and we will turn towards that…

During the second half of the series we will continue to build work while also co-creating various ways to decolonize the traditional workshop/crit models by tuning into the maker/writer/artist’s voice and needs…

This process of making in joy and co-creating responses that are more nourishing (to maker and viewer/reader alike) is a political act. At a time when ushering in different and more expansive stories is more politicized and maligned (read: outlawed) than ever, writing and making what we came here to make/write/feel/create is an act of deep love (for self, for other, for world) and also a necessary mode of resistance.
